Met my School Pals

After a long time, I met my dearest school friends yesterday. We have been meeting randomly, but not all together. Yesterday was the occasion for all of us to get together and party. Actually we got together for a party thrown by two of my friends :- Rajan padalia & Devang mehta. The reason for the party was as they had been selected for a job in the campus placement at their respective colleges.
May it be any reason, getting together with friends and partying seems always good. We had a really nice tym yesterday. Enjoyed a lot.

SSB Idea dropped..

I was very much happy when I received a call letter for the SSB interview. But after getting all the required info about the eligibility criterions, it seems that this idea should be dropped.
The medical criteria for the candidates are strict. Spects are allowed but with certain boundaries to the allowance too. According to the guidance given to us at our college the candidates should have a 6*6 vision for the Left eye and a 6*9 vision for the right one.
I have spects with -4.0 power in both eyes. So its wise for me to stop thinking about the Army interview and concentrate in my field of studies only...!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finished off with the Submissions..

So finally the submission period ends and with it ends the series of staying awake till late night & completing tutorials. Now it totally leisure time, atleast till Diwali, to say the least. The rest depends on the mood, whether to study or not.

Busy with Submissions

The most difficult time for any engineering student is the Submission time. Its just too much. Tutorials are given as if we write at a speed comparable to the speed of light...!!!!
And the most ridiculous thing is that all teachers think we have just a single subject i.e. the one that he/she teaches. Day & night together everyone is busy sitting and writing tutorials. No one knows what he/she is writing and no one has that much of time too. If one tries this he/she is sure to be left with pending works..!!!
Anyways this is the Last week now of this semester, then we have our reading vacations starting. Huh.., finally I'll get rid of writing so much....

RFID - Really Innovative

For me, working on RFID seemed too difficult in the beginning. I didn't even know how does it work. But now I have started to gather information about this thing. Its working is very simple.
   RFID has two parts:-
          1) An RFID reader and
          2) RFID Tag.
The RFID tag are of two types:-
          1) Passive Tag
          2) Active Tag
The tag is what we carry with ourselves as an identification tag. Now the RFID reader is designed to radiates Electromagnetic(RF) rays in the surroundings. For a passive tag when it comes under the vicinity of the reader it will get energised as the waves radiate will couple with its LC-tank circuit. Now the tag will radiate energy back according to its "Specific Code". Hence the RFID reader can get the appropriate code of the Tag with which it is contacting.
Again, the Active tag has its own power supply to work with. Hence it can radiate its code by itself and also the distance (range) is increased.

These links may help you with the working of the RFID technology.

SSB Interview

Wow.. I am selected for the SSB interview this year. I have received my call letter. The SSB interview this time is on the 7th November. The army interview was the first ever interview that i gave and I'm happy to be selected for the SSB training. I am looking forward to it and also very much excited about the fact that I'm have got a chance to become a part of our Indian Army.
But there is a problem in this. I have spectacles with power 4.5. According to many of my friends there should be a gap of nearly 4 years after the laser surgery for removing specs has been done. I don't know about this correctly, but I'm trying to get into more details. Hope it would be in my favor. Eager to go for the SSB training.

Finally Exams are over....!!!!!

Hello folks...
So it has been a long time since I have last posted and the culprit this time is "Exams". Yes, I had my exams this week so I was busy reading since the last two weeks. Anyways the exams are now over and my blog is back on track.
Talking about my exams, it went absolutely fine without creating much of a problem for me. As usual I hadn't studied anything for the whole semester(taking forward the same tradition followed in the previous semesters...!!!!) and had to cover almost 60-65 % of the alloted syllabus of 5 subjects in just a mere 7 days. But somehow i managed it, thanx to the fact that i had payed attention in the class.
Now its time to start my project as I had described in my earlier posts. I have bought the RFID and the required tags from "Rhydolabz" via online shopping. Now my first target is to frame a program to interface the RFID with a microcontroller 'AT89C51'.
If someone could help me out please do come forward...Thank you..
